Very large email archives (PST/mbox) are exploded; processing time scales with mailbox size.
Scanned PDFs/images rely on OCR; low-resolution scans may need a retry.
Unknown text-like formats fall back to conservative auto-partitioning with best-effort parsing.
LibreOffice conversion and pre-rendering use these same sets to produce viewable pages.
